Characters begin to break the fourth-wall by directly talking to the player and aspects of the game start to glitch (but don’t worry, nothing is w̶r̶o̶n̶g̶ broken). The tension builds, as your choices prove the main character’s affections to one of the girls (whoever you have done best to impress), and things get strange. However, the storyline quickly evolves from sweetness and cupcakes to serious topics such as mental illness, out in the open for those who don’t get metaphors. ![]() If you are any good at analysis (especially with poetry) it may be easier for you to see what is going on under the game’s pretty surface. The player continues to write poems (with fun wordplay mini-games) and attempts to woo the girls in the after-school literature club. The game starts just as most others in the same style with an awkward male protagonist roped into being surrounded by adorable, young girls (who very easily develop feelings for him).
